The Joseph Ogilvie (who married Elspet in 1808 in Keith) would probably have been born before or by 1790. The only child with the name Joseph Ogilvie born in Scotland in the timeframe 1770 to 1790 found so far was the second child of William Ogilvie and Jean Erskin/e who apparently married by 1782, possibly in Errol, Perthshire. No record has yet been found of this marriage but they had several children who are all recorded against the parents' names:
William Ogilvie and Isobel Anderson married in Keith on 1 January 1782 (BDM Ref 159/40/169) and they had 10 children, all baptised in Keith:
Joseph Ogilvie (1785 - ) married Elspet Anderson on 27 October 1808 in Keith (BDM Ref 159/40/260). They had the following children, all baptised in Keith:
An Alexander Ogilvie died in Keith on 28 May 1826 (BDM Ref 159/50/164) and a William Ogilvie died in Keith on 23 April 1834 (BDM Ref 159/50/637). It is not known if these two are in any way connected with the children listed above as the parents are not listed. They may be the young sons of Joseph and Elspet Ogilvie. Note that a Joseph and James Ogilvie, very likely brothers, appear in Walhalla, Victoria, in the 1860s - see below.
Additionally, two men by the name of Joseph Ogilvie died in Keith in 1833 and 1843.
The second one above may be linked in some way with the Joseph Ogilvie (son of William Ogilvie and Isobel Anderson, born in Keith in 1800) who married Margaret Paterson on 4 November 1828 in Keith (BDM Ref 159/50/482)? They had two children:
Joseph Ogilvie (parents not known, but likely born by 1810) and Jean Henderson married in 1830 (location, date unknown, not in Scotland's people). They had two children:
Joseph Ogilvie's life around this time was summarised in his obituary in The Ballarat Star on 24 February 1916:
MINING PIONEER'S DEATH. At the advanced age of 92 years, Mr Joseph Ogilvie has died at the residence of his son-in-law Cr Geo. Frost, in Maryborough. The late Mr Ogilvie was a native of Scotland, and in his early youth was a sailor aboard vessels trading to China and the East. (continues below)
Joseph Ogilvie (1821 - 1916) married Isabella Henderson on 9 June 1851 at Ferry Port On Craig (Tayport), Fife (across the River Tay from Dundee) (Scottish BDM Ref 429/30/150). See below also for the marriage of Christiana Ogilvie at the same location in 1858, suggesting they may be related.
Isabella Henderson's Victorian death notice in 1905 stated that she was born in 1829 and was the daughter of William Henderson and Emily Mechie. Mechie is not a common name in Scotland; between 1798 and 1855 only eight people were born (none named Emily) and four people with that surname died. No record yet can be found yet in Scotlands People of the marriage of William Henderson to Emily Mechie, or the birth of Isabella to anyone matching both those names.
Joseph and Isabella Ogilvie migrated to Victoria, Australia by 1853, based on their first child William being born in Victoria that year. They do not seem to appear in either the assisted or unassisted lists for Victoria: https://prov.vic.gov.au/explore-collection/explore-topic/passenger-records-and-immigration/unassisted-passenger-lists
Joseph Ogilvie's obituary continues ...
He came to Australia in 1853, and held the position of engineer on vessels plying between Sydney and Melbourne. He was seized with gold fever and participated in the rushes to the fields of Ballarat and the surrounding district. When the shallower alluvial mines gave out Mr Ogilvie took up engine driving on the Deeper claims. In his time he was located at Ballarat, Waterloo, Golden Lake, Havelock, and Shaw's Reef.
Joseph Ogilvie's possible sister's marriage was recorded in The Argus of 10 June 1858, but this marriage cannot be found yet in the Scottish records:

George Ogilvie (a miner) married Annie Russell and they had at least one child. It is not known if or how George was related to Joseph and James Ogilvie.
William Ogilvie died on 8 September 1895 in Walhalla. The report of his death was carried in The Gippsland Farmers' Journal of 10 September 1895:

Walter Duncan Ogilvie (1888 - 1962) married Olive Louise Chester Terrell (12 October 1884, Gilberton, South Australia) in Adelaide on 28 November 1912 (Ref 253/664). They had five children:
