Romsey is a market town in Hampshire, UK, around 10 kms north west of Southampton. No other Warland families are known in this area, yet.
Two children were born to John Warland and an unnamed mother (but likely Mary - see below) in the late 1500s in Romsey.
A Mary Warland, possibly John's wife, was buried in Romsey on 30 August 1586. John Warland presumably re-married Cateren Homes at Romsey on 24 November 1586.
It is not yet known if this family is connected with later Hampshire Warlands. There are no known Warland events in Romsey after 1586. It seems quite possible that the family moved to (or closer to) Southampton or nearby.
